The backyard area is made up of the Swimming Pool, which has a covered deck area for outdoor dining. There is a very large BBQ area located next to the pool, along with a large Jacuzzi. There are several lounges and a number of deck chairs, along with tiki torches and even a mister system (for the hotter months). Please take time to learn more about our backyard facilities. | |

The swimming pool is an integral part of the backyard landscaping. We have an open air design that is not shadowed by a pool cage. You can get good sun, see the blue sky, take in the sunset, or watch the stars at night without any obstruction. This is not a lap pool, but it is plenty big enough to play water volleyball, dive, or just relax in. The deep end is just under 6 feet and the shallow end is about 3 feet. The overall length is 18 feet with a 16 foot width. The pool has an automatic filtration and chlorinator system, the only thing you will need to do is net out leaves and such that regularly fall or blow into the pool area - which we have nets for. | |
| The pool is heated by three processes. First we have an extensive solar heating system on the roof which adequately heats the pool during most of the colder months. Second - we have a large electric heater (over 100,000 BTU's) that "boosts" the solar system during the coldest months. The pool is pre-set to 85 degrees and if you want it warmer, you can increase the temperature for a nominal charge. Note that 85 degrees is fairly warm and comfortable for most guests. We also have a solar blanket that lays on top of the pool when you are not using it - this keeps in much of the heat and prevents loss over night when the air is much cooler. | ||

The BBQ area is made up of a 15 foot structure that contains
a large grilling area and a double burner located next to it. There is
also a small refrigerator and a sink with hot and cold running water.
we have two electric outlets on top of the BBQ area and there is plenty of
storage underneath. We always have an extra tank of propane located in
the Storage Area. Tiki torches are located on each side of the BBQ
area to provide an extra tropical touch. Note that we have recently
installed a new tiled top for the BBQ area.

The Jacuzzi area has its own deck where a fairly large group can both sit in the Jacuzzi and lounge on the deck area. There are jets, bubbles, and temperature controls that are easy to use. There is a multi-colored light for evening enjoyment and we typically keep the Jacuzzi constant at 104 degrees. There is also a built-in ice bucket area. We have an electrical outlet for the pool / beach stereo (portable). The rest of the backyard area is small but there is room enough to set-up the crocket set (located in the Storage Room). You can also play horseshoes and of course this is a pet area as well.
